The future of 3D visualization

With 3D visualization, anything is possible: what trends and innovations can we expect? You only have to open a magazine or refresh your social media feed and before long you will see an image or video featuring 3D visualization. So the fact that in the future this way of working will be used more and more often, almost exclusively, instead of a cumbersome photo shoot, has long been clear. But how will 3D visualization continue to evolve? What trends and innovations can we still expect?

The evolution of 3D visualization

Although it has not been around for very long, 3D visualization has already gone through several major growth spurts. What we do at Nanopixel began somewhere in the mid-1990s. Computers were still weak, the results were still limited, and certainly not realistic.

Computers became stronger at an incredible pace, and the results in visualizations followed along. Ten years later, the representations were already very realistic, even photorealistic. Today, we are in the phase of hyperrealism. What is real and what is computer-generated is hardly, if at all, distinguishable from one another.

The shift toward creativity

That realism has become so widespread that it has become somewhat mainstream. It has also all become much more accessible now. The tools are better, the PCs are more powerful. Before long, anyone will be able to learn how to create a realistic render. The practical skills are increasingly within reach. As far as we are concerned, the future of 3D visualization therefore lies in creativity.

What sets you apart from others? How can you bring your product to market not only realistically, but also creatively? This is where we want to make the difference: in the thinking, the creativity, the search for unexpected angles and possibilities. How can we use the available tools in such a way that you achieve an exceptional and creative result?

The arrival of AI

AI has of course also made its welcome entrance into our industry. Instead of seeing it as the enemy, we make grateful use of it, for example to generate characters. Where in the past we had to organize a photo shoot with models, AI can generate any possible model in no time. This gives us more time and space for the creative work, the details, and the perfect execution.

In the future, 3D visualization will be everywhere. The difference will be made by the creative way in which it is applied.
